Jakarta, December 14: Daniel enjoyed an excellent opening round in the Asian Tour’s season-ending Indonesian Masters today.
He shot a four-under-par 68 at Royale Jakarta Golf Club after teeing off in the afternoon.
Daniel began his round on the 10th and got off to a bad start with a bogey but quickly shook that off and bounced back with two birdies on the back nine and three on the front side.
He birdied the 14th and 17th, and later holes two, three and seven.
The Swede sits in a tie for 14th place.
Daniel will tee-off tomorrow with Frenchman Lionel Weber and Chinnarat Phadungsil from Thailand.
England’s Justin Rose leads the US$750,000 tournament after carding a sizzling 10-under-par 62.
Due to the damp conditions preferred lies were played meaning it was not a course record.
